Facets of this collaboration include a bag designed by Annie Gray Gibbs, an accessories designer. In response to color and materiality, I designed a repeat to line the bag. The second facet of our collaboration was the exploration of mark in three-dimensions for wear on the body. Choosing from a unit of the matrix, her response was the design and development of jewelry referential of my motif. The pieces include techniques such as sewing, construction, and metal working; recreating my motifs in her materials allowed me to see mark making and pattern as a sculptural form.
